3D printing takes another huge step forward at CES 2015

Contrary to 3D TV, which has all but disappeared from the announcements and signage at the Consumer Electronics Show, 3D printing is maintaining growth. More importantly, 3D printing vendors always make meaningful improvements of their products, while at the same time making them easier to use and less expensive. There were several new models introduced over the show, ranging from souped upward versions of existing industrial models, to stripped down versions made for hobbyists, and just about everything involving. Even consumer services have been being showcased, like 3dplus’s offer to create a superhero action figure by warping a type of your head onto some sort of custom-printed base (seen towards left).

Based on a walk from the 3D printing enclave, we’ve picked out probably the most impressive printers launched on CES 2015.
