Google takes Fiber strategy to mobile with Nova, record says.

Google as being a company has its fingers inside what regularly feels like every pie on the globe from automated cars that map the earth, to the best consumer internet service around, to smartphones with swappable factors. Considering the breadth of Google’s work and that it develops one of many two biggest mobile operating devices, rumors have long persisted that the company was wanting to get in on the carrier industry. Those rumors have just acquired steam, and reports suggest that the service, called Nova, will piggyback in Sprint and T-Mobile infrastructure.

In line with reports, Google’s Nova will become a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), that is a third party that uses a carrier’s network to produce their own service. A report from Android Law enforcement officials suggests that Google Voice would be the lynchpin of the plan — using Google Voice to produce phone calls via the data connection would mimic generating a regular call. Making Google’s plan more appealing, the report claims that Nova could offer unlimited data, which would almost be the obligation anyway considering calls would have the data connection. Like other unlimited data plans — notably FreedomPop’s offer — Nova would switch for you to WiFi when possible.
