Twitter chief executive Dick Costolo claims the microblogging network lost a few four million active users on account of an "unforeseen bug in iOS 8 since it relates to Twitter integration to the OS”. A quarter of such users downloaded iOS 8 in addition to either forgot their security password or never reopened the app, while the remaining a few million were lost as a result of a change to Safari's Target audience section, which no extended triggers new tweets on auto-pilot.
