Take out giant KFC has advised members of its dedication club in the UK to change their security passwords after discovering its website has been breached.

The company said some of its 1. 2 , 000, 000 Colonel's Club members could have had their personal information, including passwords and contact information, taken in the hack against their website.

Although it said a "small number" of customers are likely to have been affected, MCDONALDS sent the warning meaning to everyone who is a member of the loyalty scheme.

"Our monitoring systems have found a tiny number of Colonel's Membership accounts may have recently been compromised therefore of the website being targeted, " the message to customers said. "Whilst it is improbable you have been afflicted, we advise that you change your password as a precaution. "
