From the two-plus-hour Microsoft push event revealing the important points of Windows 10, none of people on the ET staff can recall hearing the language Android or iphone, or any mention of how Windows will be improving its interoperability with these. Instead, Microsoft hammered aside at how it'll be providing Windows-based solutions for any screen in your current world, and for a few that you haven’t even considered yet — like holograms and whiteboards. This unified Windows 10 architectural mastery, compelling features, and cool demos produce a wonderful story;;aside from the really massive problem that hardly any one uses Windows on the smartphone, and very few do on his or her tablet.
The event sensed like something of an throwback to home buying of “Windows Everywhere” rather then Microsoft’s more recent positioning to be a devices and companies business. I’m sure Microsoft thinks it may follow a Windows-first mantra but still successfully incorporate Google android and iOS customers into its environment, but that involves plenty of wishful thinking.
